Our customer came in to have a "Going away to college gift" for her daughter. She wanted to use her original engagement ring diamond to make a pendant with the latitude and longitude coordinates of Salisbury, MD. We designed the pendant and melted the shank of the engagement ring with gold from an old pair of earrings to cast the sentimental piece. We understand that tears were present when the gift was given. Goldsmith Eric Miller polished the casting, set the diamond, and added the bail. All the work is done here at GBH.
